The Guardian Pooled Trust was created with the sole purpose of helping people with disabilities qualify for Medicaid and SSI. A pooled trust allows an individual with a disability to shelter their assets and income in a "pool" for investment and economy of scale, while receiving all of the benefits of a professionally administered special needs trust. There is no minimum deposit.
The Guardian Special Needs Trust, our third-party trust, is funded with resources from a parent , family member, or other third-party who wants to provide for a person with special needs. There is no minimum deposit.
Individual, self-settled Special Needs Trusts are also referred to as "d4A" trusts. This means that our non-profit, NNAD, serves at the Trustee. Funds in an individual trust are individually managed and invested. For d4A trusts a beneficiary must be under the age of 65 and Medicaid must be paid back for their services at the time of the beneficiary's passing. There is no minimum deposit.
